What is Winding Road Enterprises?
Winding Road Enterprises is the name of our business. Our main product is the MOTORCYCLE TIMES magazine, but we also produce newsletters and advertisements, and do freelance editing, consulting, and artwork.
What is WRMT?
WRMT is an acronym for Winding Road MOTORCYCLE TIMES. Yeah, we know, it’s confusing. We are often called “Winding Road,” “Winding Times,” or “Winding Road Motorcycles.” It could be worse.
How do we define the Mid-Atlantic region?
Our “Mid-Atlantic region” is the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.), and the states of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Besides listing regional events in our “Events Calendar,” much of the other content pertains to this region.
When did the first issue of the WRMT come out?
Our first issue was published in January 1989.
How can I get a copy of the WRMT?
The MOTORCYCLE TIMES is free from motorcycle shops, clubs, and other motorcycle-friendly venues (taverns, leather shops, paint shops, etc.) in the area we serve. If your local shop does not carry the WRMT, have them Contact Us and request that we start shipping to them. There is no cost to either businesses or clubs. Individuals can also Subscribe to the WRMT.
How can I subscribe to the MOTORCYCLE TIMES, and how much does it cost?
We have a subscription form in the back of every issue. You can also click “Subscriber Info” to go to a printable, on-line subscription form. The Bulk Mail rate is $12.00 U.S. You will be sent the next available issue. First Class subscriptions are $18.00 U.S. Please specify current or next issue. These rates are for the continental U.S. Please contact us for International Rates.
How many issues have you published?
The January/February 2006 issue is our 108th issue.
When and how often does the MOTORCYCLE TIMES come out?
We come out six times a year at the beginning of every other month, beginning with January 1 - think New Years Day! So the cover dates are January/February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October, and November/December.
Who are your writers and do you accept contributions?
Our writers, photographers and artists are all regular riders who have something to say to their fellow enthusiasts. Click “Contributor Info” for details on submitting articles and our rate scale.
If the MOTORCYCLE TIMES is free, how do you make money?
We are supported by our advertisers ... so please support them!
How can I advertise?
Please click “Advertising Info” to receive a media kit with our advertising rates and guidelines.
What if I just want to run a classified ad?
Then you are in luck, because classified advertisements are FREE! That is, they are free for non-commercial advertisers (business ads are $3.00 per line). Just write up your ad and “Contact Us.” We reserve the right to edit the free ads for space and content - like, duh!
How can I submit event info?
You can email, fax, phone-in, or snail-mail us your event info. However you do it, WE WANT IT! It is our goal to list EVERY motorcycle event open to riders in the Mid-Atlantic region. Please click “Events Calendar” for details on what info we need. We will list Mid-Atlantic events for free. If you are out of our area and want to publicize your event, click “Advertiser Info.”
Why is the background on this website white instead of black, like on other motorcycle websites?
Because we have a bright and sunny outlook.
Are back issues available?
Yes. Sometimes. Maybe. If you know you want a certain issue or story, “Contact Us” and we will see what we can do. When available, back issues are $3.00 U.S. (in the continental U.S.) to cover our shipping and handling costs.
