The October 10 2021 Weekly News Summary has items from Monster Energy Team Yamaha MotoGP at the COTA race – Circuit Of The Americas, and Team Suzuki sent their report on the same race, that’s interesting to see the team viewpoints, We received a press release about some of the top motorcycle manufacturers working together to create swappable battery packs for electric motorcycles and scooters. Motorcycle Times broke this story awhile ago and we’ve been following it closely.

One of the biggest limitation of EV is the range and the recharge time. Early on I was of the opinion that there should be “universal” battery packs that can be swapped out at gas stations and interstate rest stops, thus allowing these vehicles to compete with traditional vehicles on a more equal basis. Your recharge could take similar or possibly even less time than to refuel a traditional vehicle.

Not that I’m claiming any credit for the idea, I’m sure the brains that dream this stuff up thought about it well in advance of the release of their EV’s. However, I will take credit for being possibly being the first to talk about it to the general public. For all the good that does me.

Husqvarna continues their strong showing in MX2, Moto GP, MXGP and EnduroCross and supplied us with the press releases and photos for you to read. The FIM sent us 5 or 6 releases covering everything from sidecar racing to MXGP/MX2and WMX and a few other categories.
And there is so much more I cant really tell you all of it here, you just have to see for yourself in The October 10 2021 Weekly News Summary HERE .
