11.7.2021 Weekly Summary Online; Includes Algarve MotoGP, Hard Enduro Championship And More
This week we offer 21 motorcycle news items for your entertainment. There is a good deal of coverage on round 17 of the 2021 MotoGP World Championship Series being held in Algarve, Portugal.
Portimão is a city and a municipality in the district of Faro, in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. There is a lot of elevation changes on this track, which has earned it the nickname of “The Rollercoaster”! Imagine racing world class MotoGP on a track with this reputation.
From the HRC Repsol Page: “The Autodromo Internacional do Algarve has 15 corners – nine right, six left. The undulation in Portimao is incredible and the front straight will allow the MotoGP™ riders to really stretch the legs of their machines, before a unique downhill descend into Turn 1. There’s a reason it gets called a high-speed rollercoaster, it’s a thrill for riders and fans alike.” You’ll find links to HRC race reports in the news items.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt won the series title and was crowned the 2021 FIM Hard Enduro World Champion. I followed this series because these races are incredible.
Heres is an excerpt from the race report. You can feel the tension and excitement as you read this if you are an enduro fan. If you know Hard Enduro you’ll be on the edge just from reading this, as I was when I received it, Here it is.

However, refocusing and confident that he had the speed to get back to the front, Bolt began to pick his way through his opponents and was soon in second place, chasing down Lettenbichler.”
