MONSTER ENERGY YAMAHA MOTOGP TO STAY PROTECTED WITH NEW PARTNER BLS

Mandalika (Indonesia), 10th February 2022

Staying in line with their ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety certifications, Yamaha Motor Racing welcome new official partner BLS Group. The company manufactures FFP2 face masks that will keep Yamaha personnel at the circuits and the YMR headquarters protected whilst fighting for MotoGP glory in 2022.

With the battle against Covid continuing on a global scale, Yamaha Motor Racing is pleased to share it has recently started a partnership with BLS Group. The Italian company is specialised in respiratory protection and is one of the largest producers in Europe, offering solutions fit for industrial, medical, military, and urban environments.

Throughout the 2022 season, BLS will supply Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP with personalized FFP2 face masks that comply with the MotoGP guidelines set by Dorna as well as the international and YMR’s own safety rules and standards.

This means Fabio Quartararo, Franco Morbidelli, the entire Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team and the corporate Yamaha staff attending the Grand Prix rounds or at work at the YMR headquarters, will be able to go about their business comfortably and safely, knowing they are covered.

As the partnership started at the beginning of 2022, the new BLS face masks – especially designed for the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team, the corporate Yamaha Factory Racing staff, and the riders – were already in use during last weekend’s Sepang Test, and they will also be used at the upcoming Mandalika Test in Indonesia.

MANAGING DIRECTOR, YAMAHA MOTOR RACING

We warmly welcome the BLS Group to our community. The pandemic continues to pose a risk to the MotoGP paddock, that will be traveling to 21 GPs all around the globe. It will be a challenge to keep our Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP riders and Yamaha Factory Racing staff in good health and ‘Covid-19 negative’ throughout the next 9 months. We need to use the best equipment to give us the best protection.

BLS Group is an Italy-based company and we are now working closely together to make sure we have face masks that are fully protective yet still comfortable to wear, as our crew members make long days during the race weekends.

We are really happy that we found a partner in BLS who understands our work requirements and who is fully motivated to help us protect ourselves and others.
