Feature Bike

Gerald Franklin’s 2012 Softail Deluxe

“Redbone”

“Editor’s note: I was out and about looking for bikes to feature and just stopping in various shops to hang out when I caught an eyeful of this beauty. I didn’t get to talk to the owner then, my phone rang and while I was doing business he took off. Eventually I did find out about the bike and here is the story.”

“Redbone” has All Performance Machine Accessories added to it. It’s had a couple big wheels on it and is currently running matched SMT  wheels in 26 front and 17 rear. A Bad Dad fender covers the front super low profile tire and that’s followed up with a Klock Werks stretched rear fender to compliment the lines.

18 inch David Dumas “Hamma” handlebars pair up with the ostrich skin seat and a pair of comfy floor boards and forwards to compliment the HHI raked out Triple Trees and Arlen Ness forklegs working with a Legend Air Ride to add the finishing touches to Gerald’s custom built ride.

Speaking of Finishing touches, Gerald had Ronald Washington flow some custom two stage pearl paint on the tins and really wrap it all up.

Gerald told me “After 10 plus year’s of owning the softail it has been a labor of love that I’ve enjoyed and wouldn’t trade for anything shes a multi purpose show winning machine as well as a rider with bumps and bruises to show”.

Gerald wanted me to be sure to include his Special Thanks to:

Phillip And Carla Smith of Karma Cycles

Ronald Washington My Painter

Eastern Performance

Bagger Boyz

Gerald’s Custom Motorcycle Detailing for keeping her gleaming…

What more can I say?
Be sure to send in your pictures, even if it’s not a true show winner like Gerald’s “Redbone” we might put it in our Readers Rides anyway!
Peace!
